Donating Blood
More than one in four Americans will require a blood transfusion at least once in their lifetimes. Yet, just 5 percent of those eligible to donate blood actually do so.
Your blood donations are vital to help ensure a more stable blood supply for Memorial Healthcare System patients. Each whole blood donation can help as many as three people.
Community Blood Centers of South Florida, Inc. (CBCSF) is the primary blood supplier for Memorial Healthcare System, operating donor centers and bloodmobiles throughout our area. In South Broward, the donation center is located at:
3615 Hollywood Boulevard (across from the courthouse)
(954) 986-6302
A non-profit, all-voluntary blood collection agency, CBCSF is a member of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), America’s Blood Centers (ABC), the American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) and the Florida Association of Blood Banks (FABB), and is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration and the state of Florida. In addition, CBCSF is a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).
