Medical and Surgical Services
A staff of some of the finest physicians, nurses, technicians and support personnel provides medical and surgical services in many areas: allergy, bariatric/weight-loss surgery, cardiology, dermatology, emergency services (adult and children), endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, infectious disease, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics, otolaryngology, oncology/hematology, oral surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, plastic surgery, perinatology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, urology and vascular surgery. For surgical patients, a specialized Surgical Services Unit features modern, private rooms designed for maximum comfort and recovery.
An adult Emergency Department and separate children’s Emergency Department (affiliated with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital) extends 24-hour emergency care. Critically ill patients are monitored around the clock in our highly sophisticated, fully equipped Intensive Care Unit.
Certain medical procedures and diagnostic testing are available at the Outpatient Services Department, such as angiography, CT scans, MRIs, echocardiography, mammography, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and X-rays. In addition, patients recovering from surgery, injury or a medical condition can take advantage of convenient rehabilitation services, including physical, speech and occupational therapy.
To meet the needs of a diverse multicultural patient population, medical and support staff members can provide assistance and answer questions in a variety of foreign languages. Additionally, consent forms, certain medical documents, menus and written instructions are available in Spanish.
