February 2005 — After diligent planning and construction, Memorial Hospital Miramar will open for patients on March 17th, making it the fifth hospital in the growing Memorial Healthcare System family.
Located at the corner of Southwest 172nd Avenue and Pembroke Road, Memorial Hospital Miramar is a 128-bed, facility situated on approximately 124 acres. The four-story hospital features beautiful Mediterranean architecture and extensive landscaping, providing an attractive and welcoming setting.
Dedicated to serving the community with a combination of compassionate care, leading-edge treatment techniques and cutting-edge technology, Memorial Hospital Miramar will include:
- All private patient rooms
- A comprehensive array of medical and surgical services
- A adult Emergency Department
- A separate children's Emergency Department, affiliated with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and staffed by physicians board-certifiedin both pediatrics and emergency medicine
- A specially designed Maternity Unit with beautiful private suites supported by the LDR (labor-delivery-recovery) service
- An Intensive Care Unit to monitor critically ill patients around the clock.
- A variety of outpatient services, including certain medical procedures, diagnostic testing, and physical, occupational and speech therapy
Memorial Hospital Miramar also features a Medical Office Building connected to the hospital by an air-conditioned walkway, as well as a pharmacy, cafe, and two gift shops.
