A United Way Donation Helps Hurricane Victims

United Way

Memorial Healthcare System proudly supports United Way and urges you to make a donation to help hurricane victims through United Way of Broward County. According to Douglas E. Weber, President and CEO of United Way of Broward County, 100 percent of the funds collected for designated response programs will go directly to help people affected by hurricanes.

How is United Way Responding to Hurricane Katrina?

  • Supporting communities that have welcomed displaced individuals and families.
  • Providing long-term recovery and rebuilding to the lives and communities in the devastated areas.
  • Generating resources that will fund a multitude of services focused on ongoing housing needs, healthcare services, education programs, job training, mental health counseling, social services and community assistance.

United Way Hurricane Response Fund
