Sick Child Daycare at Memorial Hospital Pembroke Cures a Common Problem for Working Parents

To take advantage of Memorial Sick Child Daycare, participants must have current immunization records and must be registered with the service. Parents are encourages to register before their children get sick to save time when the service is needed.

The scene plays out in thousands of American homes every morning. Memorial Sick Child Daycare at Memorial Hospital Pembroke offers an option that working parents can feel good about.
Helping Parents and Children
Children with colds, stomachaches and minor illnesses are welcome at Sick Child Daycare. However, those with contagious diseases, such as strep throat and pink eye, should remain at home.
Sick Child Daycare has several televisions and more than 100 movies, as well as toys, board games, card games, books, magazines and video games. There are cribs and playpens for infants to rest, as well as cots and regular hospital beds for older children. Children are supervised at all times.
Cost for a member of the community is $35 per child per day and $20 per child per day for Memorial Healthcare System employees. (If the child uses the Center for less than four hours, a fee of $5 per hour is charged.)
The fee includes breakfast (if needed) and lunch. Medications may be administered based on the instructions of a parent or pediatrician. Should the staff become concerned about the child’s health during the day, the parent will be notified.
